Novaupulse started in 2018 with one simple idea: be the business in Kakamega that people genuinely recommend to their neighbours.
What Novaupulse does — plainly stated
Novaupulse is a small, owner-operated local business based in Kakamega Town Centre, in western Kenya. We provide three core things: hands-on maintenance and repair services for homes and small commercial premises; appointment-based consultations and site visits; and a curated selection of hardware, electrical, and plumbing products sold directly from our shop. Our customers are mostly households in Kakamega and the surrounding estates — Milimani, Lurambi, Amalemba — along with small landlords, rental-property managers, and traders who need a reliable local supplier rather than a long drive to Kisumu or Nairobi to sort a straightforward problem. We employ a core team of four, all locally based, supplemented by one or two trusted specialist contacts for jobs that genuinely require a licensed professional (such as full electrical rewiring). We've completed over 400 jobs since opening and have maintained a repeat-customer rate that we're quietly proud of — not because of marketing, but because we follow through on what we say.
How we work — and what we won't promise
Our process is deliberately low-complexity: you describe the problem, we assess it honestly, we agree on scope and cost before starting, and we get it done. If a job turns out to be more involved than the initial description suggested — something we discover mid-work — we pause, explain, and let you decide how to proceed rather than presenting a surprise invoice at the end. We don't guarantee speed at the expense of quality; a repair done well the first time saves you two more call-outs later. There are real limits to what we do: we don't handle large construction projects, we don't supply wholesale volumes of materials, and we can't always accommodate same-day requests during busy periods. Results in any trade business also depend on factors outside any contractor's control — the condition of existing pipework, the quality of original construction, power-supply consistency — and we're honest about that from the first conversation. The azure-blue trim on our shop front and interior fittings is a small symbol of that clarity: calm, consistent, nothing hidden.
